Extending your hitch helps prevent hitting trailer or propane tanks when making sharp turns while towing. These are also great when using hitch accessories such as bike racks. Extended lengths are measured from center to center of hitch pin holes. Features an attractive powder coated black finish. This Hitch Extension Bar has a 2" receiver load rating of GVW 3,500 lbs (Tongue 350 lbs) with a weight distribution hitch rating of GVW 7,000 lbs (Tongue 700 lbs). The limiting factor is the capacity of your hitch. Using a 2" hitch extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by 1/3.
