ALPHATHANE 5160 is a high performance construction sealant that exhibits superb adhesion to wood, metal, glass, and most other common construction substrates. As an MS Polymer Sealant, ALPHATHANE 5160 is a moisture curing material that does not contain solvents or isocyanates. This is material is non-sagging, and can thus be used for vertical applications. ALPHATHANE 5160 is used in a variety of assembly applications, and can be particularly useful when sealing dissimilar surfaces. Common applications include window and door frame sealing, waterproofing, flashing, and joint filling. It is highly weather resistant, paintable, and has no odor; making it a fine option for both indoor and outdoor sealing purposes.
